CS Video: The Musical Cast of Pitch Perfect

Even if you’ve already checked all the trailers and the just-released six new clips, Universal Pictures’ newest comedy Pitch Perfect is likely to take you by surprise. Produced by Elizabeth Banks and directed by Jason Moore (“The Book of Mormon” and “Avenue Q”), the studio is betting that word of mouth is going to travel far and fast and, for that reason, the film is receiving a limited release this Friday, September 28 in advance of the wide release October 5.

A decidedly fictionalized take on Mickey Rapkin’s nonfiction book, Pitch Perfect follows college freshman Beca (Anna Kendrick) on a journey through the bizarre social cliques of college extracurricular activities, exemplified by rival a cappella groups and colorful, quotable characters like Rebel Wilson’s scene-stealing Fat Amy, Adam Devine’s cocky rival harmonist Bumper and the win-at-all-costs leader of “The Barden Bellas,” Anna Camp’s Aubrey.

ComingSoon.net sat down with director Moore and stars Banks, Kendrick, Wilson, Camp, Skylar Astin, Brittany Snow, Ester Dean and Hana Mae Lee to talk about the film’s unique blend of harmonic pop and dark comedy.

Check out the interviews in the player below and catch Pitch Perfect in theaters this Friday.
