CS Video: The Cast of People Like Us

Screenwriter Alex Kurtzman (Star Trek, Transformers) makes his directorial debut on DreamWorks’ new comedy/drama People Like Us, opening in theaters on June 29.

The film stars Chris Pine (Star Trek), Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games) and Michelle Pfeiffer (Dark Shadows), as well as Olivia Wilde (TRON: Legacy) and Jon Favreau (Iron Man), and it’s based on true events about a family torn apart by secrets. In the movie, Pine’s father dies leaving him to deal with the aftermath of his lies and mistakes, particularly the existence of a half-sister (Banks) and nephew he didn’t know he had.

ComingSoon.net recently sat down in Los Angeles with the cast to talk about the movie. Pine and Banks discussed how their characters were damaged by their father and how it affected them, while Pfeiffer, who plays Pine’s mom in the film, revealed why she thinks her character stayed in such a broken marriage.
