The purpose of this roundup is to put the highlights of all things Star Wars from the last week in one location. If you read this each week, you should be able to converse fluently with any Star Wars fan on everything from the latest Star Wars: Episode VII developments to the latest toys. And maybe you’ll even share with them something that they might have missed.

Episode VII News and Rumors

In the rumor department, a source at TheForce.Net Jedi Council Forums posted what may be Daisy Ridley’s character name as well as a nickname for the creature seen at Puzzlewood:

This is what could be the Daisy character name. And another kind of creature involved. A BIG BIG BIG part of the problem is that there is a massive secrecy campaign on set. A BIG part of that is disinformation with false names false info on documents. Could this be false. Hell, yes! But it is the information that my source managed to see at Puzzlewood. He/she was slightly surprised at being able to get close to this info. I haven’t been able confirm whether this is the genuine thing or just part of JJ’s disinformation strategy.

Andy Serkis also recently spoke about Harrison Ford as reported at Contact Music:

Asked if he saw the incident, Andy said: ”No, I didn’t. Poor guy. But apparently he’s been – pardon the pun – a real trouper.

‘He wants to get back on set as quickly as possible and get on with it.”

Harrison was injured while filming the latest instalment of the space saga after he hurt his leg on the door of the Millennium Falcon spaceship – which means fans can expect a sturdy machine in line with the original production.

He told the Independent on Sunday newspaper’s New Review magazine: ”That’s the one thing that’s possibly safe to say – JJ is absolutely, 100 per cent honouring the original three movies.

”It’s filled with the love and sensibility of those films.”

Episode VII News got an update on what was filmed in Puzzlewood:

My uncle lives up the road and saw spaceship / section on low loader this morning on his way to work. I just got back from location and all the trailers have gone. They’re clearing up now. So 4 days shoot for 1 or 2 scenes. The spaceship was seen being delivered yesterday morning. When I drove by yesterday lunchtime I couldn’t see anything. Traffic cones were placed right where local observers were seen standing earlier.

I registered with casting agency in Bristol 2 weeks ago and I was waiting for my photo and asked a full time extra if he was working on AVCO and what my chances were. He said his mate was a Stormtrooper on it and there was only a shortage of little people for this big battle scene they wanted to film.
