John McAfee, an anti-virus software pioneer who made millions in Silicon Valley over the past two decades, sold off everything he owned and moved into a fortified compound in Belize. He became the subject of a police investigation regarding the murder of a man who feuded with McAfee over his dogs. The dogs were allegedly fed poison and died and the man was discovered dead some time later, murdered execution-style. This past March, Wired writer Joshua Davis published an article titled "Dangerous: An In-Depth Investigation into the Life of John McAfee," which will serve as the primary basis for the proposed feature film.
