American Horror Story: Cult is the Title for the 7th Installment

Creator Ryan Murphy has revealed that American Horror Story: Cult will be the title for the seventh installment of the show. You can visit the official site for a first teaser! The series will return to FX on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 10 PM ET/PT.

American Horror Story: Cult will star Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Billie Lourd, Billy Eichner, Cheyenne Jackson, Alison Pill, Colton Haynes and Adina Porter. Ryan Murphy also previously revealed that Twisty the Clown will return, and that Lena Dunham will have a role in one episode of the season.

The Emmy, Golden Globe and AFI Award-winning series from co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk will return this fall to FX. The sixth installment, American Horror Story: Roanoke, recently received four Emmy Award nominations in the hairstyling, makeup and sound editing categories. The American Horror Story franchise is produced by Twentieth Century Fox Television.

Back in February, creator and producer Ryan Murphy revealed the theme during a guest spot on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. He told Cohen,”Well, I don’t have a title, but the season we begin shooting in June is going to be about the election that we just went through. So, I think that will be interesting for a lot of people.” Cohen asked if there would “be, like a Trump in it,” Murphy responded, “Uh, maybe.” The first episode will reportedly take place on election night.

American Horror Story was renewed for two more seasons back in January. What do you think about the American Horror Story: Cult name? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
