Giant Ants! It Came From the Desert Trailer is Here!

It Came From the Desert: Mutant ant shocker is based on the popular 80’s video game

When it comes to mutant ants marauding across the desert and tearing up every human in sight, the champion horror movie is no doubt 1954’s Them! with Bert I. Gordon’s 1977’s Empire of the Ants a distant second. Now, a new film has creeped up which looks like an amalgam of Them! and the goofball 2002 giant spider stumper Eight Legged Freaks.

Finland’s Roger! Pictures partnered with US-based legendary game developer Cinemaware to produce a motion picture adaptation of the classic 80’s video game It Came From the Desert. The action-horror-comedy – which started filming in 2015 and has been long delayed –  about giant mutated ants which wreak havoc in the New Mexico desert, will be distributed via Raven Banner Entertainment and the studio has released it first official trailer. We have it for you to eyeball below!

Roger’s Teemu Virta and Alliance Media Partners (AMP) produced the film with the support of the Finnish Film Foundation. Tero Kaukomaa (Iron Sky) and Raven Banner’s James Fler, Andrew Hunt, Annick Mahnert and Michael Paszt executive produced. Marko Mäkilaakso (War of the Dead) directed and co-wrote It Came from the Desert with Hank Woon (Age of Dinosaurs) and Trent Haaga (the Killjoy movies).

No official release date announced yet, but have a look at the fun and goofy trailer below and tell us your thoughts!
