Pierce Brosnan stars in head-spinning drug thriller URGE.
Pierce Brosnan, the man formerly known as James Bond, plays an evil overseer to a drug-fueled bacchanalia from Hell in URGE, director Aaron Kaufman’s berserk thriller that also co-stars THAT 70s SHOW Danny Masterson.
Lions Gate Films have picked up the insane looking flick, which looks like a slick, psychotic amalgam of REQUIEM FOR A DREAM, David Croneberg’s ID-decimating SHIVERS and God knows what else….
Here’s the synopsis:
A weekend getaway takes a dangerous turn when a mysterious nightclub owner (Pierce Brosnan) introduces a group of friends to a new designer drug. Stripped of their inhibitions, they start living out their wildest fantasies – but what starts out as a fun night of partying quickly turns deadly, as the island paradise deteriorates into a tropical madhouse.
Outside of Brosnan and Masterson, URGE co-stars Justin Chatwin, Ashley Greene, Alexis Knapp, Bar Paly, Chris Geere and Nick Thune
URGE hits theaters and On Demand on June 3rd.
