Rebekah and David McKendry Begin Production on First Feature ALL THE CREATURES WERE STIRRING

Filmmakers David and Rebekah McKendry start production on ALL THE CREATURES WERE STIRRING.

VARIETY announced today that filmmaker, podcaster and former FANGORIA marketing director Rebekah McKendry and her husband/collaborator David McKendry are deep in production for their first feature film, a Christmas-centric comedy/horror flick called ALL THE CREATURES WERE STIRRING. The film is both co-written and directed by the McKendry’s.

The film stars FRESH OFF THE BOAT’s Constance Wu (seen above) and Jonathan Kite (2 BROKE GIRLS) along with actress Amanda Fuller, whose turn in the 2010 shocker RED, WHITE AND BLUE is among the most devastating and undervalued female performances in any contemporary film in recent memory. Brea Grant, Graham Skipper and Stephanie Drake round out the cast and PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE’s Archie Hahn also appears.

Bekah McKendry had this to say about her upcoming first feature:

“I have always been a huge fan of Christmas horror movies, and I am thrilled to be working on ALL THE CREATURES WERE STIRRING. The cast and crew are ridiculously talented!”
David McKendry echoes her sentiments: “It’s an honor to work with such an amazing cast and crew. I can’t wait for Christmas 2016 so everyone can see all their hard work come together.”

Producers are Joe Wicker and Morgan Peter Brown for FallBack Plan, which produced Mike Flanagan’s ABSENTIA.
