The Hallow Trailer: Things Here Go Bump in the Night

The Hallow is an absolutely killer Irish creature feature, a fantastical eerie fable about what lurks within nature. The film, directed by Corin Hardy, screens at the Edinburgh Film Festival this weekend before a UK and US release this fall. Empire debuted the first trailer, an international clip that lays out its atmosphere, but very neatly doesn’t reveal its creatures. Know this: they’re rad.

The Hallow stars Joseph Mawle and Bojana Novakovic, who you might recognize from Devil and Drag Me to Hell. The film premiered in the Midnight section of this past January’s Sundance Film Festival and sees a conservationist move out to the Irish countryside in an effort to study the forest. His family resides near the titular Hallow, a haven for faeries, banshees and other folkloric entities.

The design and creep are real. You can read Shock’s review here and find the new trailer, below.
