The Conjuring

Lili Taylor, who starred in Abel Ferrara’s 1994 NYC vampire film The Addiction and put in a properly awards-worthy performance in James Wan’s The Conjuring will return to horror in the upcoming Texas Chainsaw prequel, Leatherface

In reporting Leatherface’s presence at the Cannes Market, Deadline revealed Taylor has joined Stephen Dorff, Angela Bettis and young actors James Bloor and Sam Strike in the film. The latter two will play escaped inmates of insane asylum, one of whom will end up the iconic killer. Dorff plays a deranged lawman after the escaped patients, while Bettis has been described as the mother of the Sawyer family.

Seth M. Sherwood scripted, while Inside’s Alexandre Bustillo & Julien Maury direct.
