Arrow Video Announces North American Titles, including Mark of the Devil

Arrow Video, the UK’s celebrated home video label specializing in horror and cult, have announced the first major details in their anticipated North American expansion.

Though some have questioned what Arrow’s place will be in a U.S. market filled with the likes of Blue Underground, Scream Factory, Synapse and more, the first titles announced by the company are exciting nevertheless. The Arrow invasion will kick off in March with Tonino Valerii’s Spaghetti Western Day of Anger, Michael Armstrong’s stellar 1970 folk horror Mark of the Devil and Teruo Ishii’s Blind Woman’s Curse (aka Black Cat’s Revenge). Titles to follow in April include Yasuharu Hasebe’s Joe Shishido-starring Massacre Gun, Mario Bava’s beloved Blood and Black Lace and Walerian Borowczyk’s The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Miss Osbourne.

The release states: “By popular demand Arrow Video will launch into North America with a host of cult titles, receiving deluxe treatment in video, audio, supplements and artwork… Future releases include films never-before-released on DVD and/or Blu-ray from European and Japanese cult directors.”

Mark of the Devil arrives March 17th, while Blind Woman’s Curse and Day of Anger will hit March 24th and 31st, respectively. As far as April goes, Massacre Gun releases April 7th, Blood and Black Lace hits April 14th and The Strange Case… is out April 21st.  Find artwork for all, below.
