What you’re looking at isn’t artwork for a lenticular 3D DVD package or anything of the sort. These are two separate pieces of art that were created for Soulmate, Axelle Carolyn’s directorial feature debut. One is for the VOD release (top), the other is for the DVD release (bottom). The film hits on October 31st.
It gives you a little industry insight as to how film marketing works. Obviously the distributor felt one was better for one mark and the other was best-suited for another.
In the film, recently widowed Audrey (Anna Walton) moves to the countryside in a bid to get her life back on track.When she realizes the cottage shes renting is haunted, she decides to stay and strikes up an odd relationship with the ghost (Tom Wisdom).
Neil Marshall executive produced the film. Walton and Carolyn previously worked together on the short film The Halloween Kid.
