The Hollywood Reporter brings word this afternoon that the cast has been officially set for The Butcher Brothers’ next directing effort, The Beginners Guide to Snuff.
Joey Kern (Cabin Fever) will star alongside Luke Edwards (Jeepers Creepers II) as two actor brothers eager to make it in Hollywood who decide making a snuff film will offer them their big break into the business. They’re joined by Bree Williamson (“True Detective,” “Deception”) as the actress whom they kidnap and torture on film and Brad Greenquist (Pet Semetary, Water for Elephants) as a theme park security guard with a “dark edge.”
Cory Knauf, Luke Edwards, Adam Carver and Don R. Lewis are producing. Knauf, Adam Weis and Mitchell Altieri penned the script. Production is expected to begin on the film this month in Los Angeles.
Altieri and Flores previously helmed The Hamiltons, The Thompsons and The Violent Kind.
