Short horror film submissions are now being accepted for this fall’s Beyond Fest (official site to come) which is taking place September 25th-October 5th in Los Angeles. The organizers of the fest and myself will be making the selections for the shorts program (presented by ShockTillYouDrop.com) that will accompany this fest’s crop of feature films and other special events.

A few things:
- Running time must not exceed 15 minutes
- Must be a 2014 production
- Film submissions in a foreign language must be subtitled or dubbed in English
- Screener format must be an online screener
- If submitting more than one film, a separate completed entry is required for each title
- If accepted into the festival you must supply the finished film on either DCP & or Bluray by September 15th

The event came out swinging pretty hard last Halloween season and when I saw what Beyond’s Spencer Hickman (Death Waltz Records) and Christian Parkes could do, I knew I had to get involved with their plans for 2014. Last year, they welcomes a wide selection of films new and old. Hell, Beyond Fest even featured a string of live performances by Goblin!
This is going to be an exciting year for the event. We’re looking forward to seeing the wide array of short horror films that are out there!
