Capping his piece about The Goonies II and his thoughts on the 80s film, Jeremy says: “One film from that period that I still adore, however, is GREMLINS, and I’m told a remake of Joe Dante’s film is also moving quickly at WB. Good times.”
Now, we’ve been hearing for years and years that Warner Bros. has been toying with the notion of redoing Joe Dante’s 1984 creature feature. There were also rumors of just a straight-up sequel.
These days, with endless talks of Ghostbusters 3 and other ’80s remakes/sequels that have consumed news space here at Shock, I’m a bit over covering this stuff until something solid comes along. Jeremy’s good people and he’s got great contacts, however, so these seemed fit for print.
