The Queen Mary to Serve As Backdrop for Shining-esque Thriller

Those who live in the Los Angeles area know the Queen Mary well.  The ocean liner has a rich, haunted history, it serves as a hotel now and it hosts an annual haunted house event every Halloween season.

Ubiquity Studios is now going to use The Queen Mary as the backdrop of a thriller being described as "The Shining on a ship" called The Queen Mary.  Gary Dauberman will pen the script.  He also penned the unproduced Hellfest, about a killer in an amusement park, which Gale Anne Hurd (The Walkin Dead) was shepherding and Crawlspace for New Line.

Shooting begins next spring on the actual Queen Mary.
