Come June 2014, Takashi Miike will shooting a new splatter flick entitled As God Says, reports Variety. The film will be based on a serialized comic book tale that appeared within the pages of Kodansha Comic Magazine.
Toho is producing and, according to the outlet, the film concerns a group of teens forced to play a deadly game – akin to Battle Royale and The Hungers Games – manipulated by "unknown forces."
Miike is best known for films like Ichi the Killer and Audition. Since then, he's been a freigh train knocking out movie after movie. Most recently he helmed Lesson of the Evil, an anti-bullying film.
