Two excellent sources told me that there is renewed movement on the long-mooted sequel. Major movement, in fact, as I was told one day of shooting is already in the can.
Shock Till You Drop reached out to director Victor Salva – who helmed the first two entries released in 2001 and 2003 – and while he offered some off-the-record information, he did say, “There may finally be some very good news for those waiting for the third Jeepers film to go before the cameras.” He wasn’t at liberty to say much more.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any details as to what Jeepers Creepers 3 is about or which script Salva is going with (he’s had a few ideas for the sequel over the years).
Why it has taken this long for Jeepers Creeper 3 to get off the ground is a genuine head-scratcher. The previous two entries, combined, have grossed over $120 million worldwide and “The Creeper” has attracted his own horror following. We’ll keep you posted if more details come along!
