Katee Sackhoff Says Oculus Is Intelligent, Takes You on a Ride

The story centers on a murder that left two children orphans with authorities charging the brother while his sister believed that the true culprit was a haunted antique mirror. Now completely rehabilitated and in his 20s, the brother is ready to move on but his sister is determined to prove that the haunted mirror was responsible for destroying their family.

“Mike is a phenomenal writer and, as I came to find out, a terrific director,” star Katee Sackhoff told us in a recent chat we had with her about the September 6th release of Riddick.

“He has this ability to take horror – which is something that everyone’s seen – and allow you to see something you haven’t seen before with an idea that’s so simple.  He makes you use your brain and what he does takes you on a ride and it’s just awesome.”

Sackhoff told us she plays “a character named Marie and my character is married to Rory Cochrane’s Alan and we’re a family of four with two kids.  We move away from a big city and into a big house in a cute little cul de sac outside of town.  And bad things happen when we put a vintage mirror on the big wall of our house.”

FilmDistrict was initially going to the release the film, but dropped it recently leaving the film to look for a new home which it will undoubtedly find following its TIFF premiere.
