The film – directed by Derick Martini – concerns a small midwestern town gripped by a curse that claims the life of one high school senior every year. Chrissie Swanson (Heathcote) fears she is the next victim of The Curse of Downers Grove.
According to Variety, Tom Arnold is set to play an abusive father that supplies his son (Zegers) with steroids to fuel his football career.
The actor had a long run on Roseanne and has appeared in Freddy’s Dead (pictured), True Lies and Sons of Anarchy.
