The Fringe: The Hunger Games Coming to DVD, Blu-ray This August

A Blu-ray and DVD release date has been locked in for The Hunger Games.  You know, that monster hit released earlier this year starring Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson?  Well, it’s coming home on August 18th and EW scored the early word on what we can expect in the way of bonus features.

The site says, “The two-disc set will include over three hours of unreleased material, with features that provide insight into how the film was made, interviews with the cast and crew, and details about some of the story lines that differed from the book — like President Snow’s character (Donald Sutherland) and the role of the game maker (Wes Bentley). An eight-part documentary entitled The World is Watching: Making of The Hunger Games delves into the behind-the-scenes aspect of creating the film. The extras also include the full-length “Propaganda Film” shown during the Reaping.”

At the time of this writing, The Hunger Games remains in the box office top 10 and has grossed an estimated $636 million worldwide.  Not bad for a movie about kids killin’ each other – fun for the whole family!
