World War Z With Brad Pitt Pushed to 2013

Paramount has reconsidered World War Z‘s release date.  Rather than debut the film on December 21st of this year, it is pushing the adaptation of Max Brooks’ novel to June 21, 2013.  We’re not sure if the studio simply felt it wasn’t a “holiday” release or if the film needs more time in post-production, but given the epic nature of the story – and I’m hearing that this thing is huge – it might be the latter.

Directed by Marc Forster; Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos, James Badge Dale, Julia Levy-Boeken, Bryan Cranston, Danielle Kertesz, Matthew Fox and David Morse star.

The film is detailed tale in which a researcher for the U.N. Postwar Commission interviews survivors from countries all over the world, 10 years after the crisis, to gather a first-person post-mortem on a zombie war that obliterated every country on the map.
