Every week brings forth news of another remake and this week it was American Psycho. Lionsgate is developing a modern-day adaptation with writer Noble Jones.
While this project certainly has not been given the green light, that hasn’t prevented many people from sounding off with their casting choices for the main role, Patrick Bateman (previously essayed by Christian Bale).
And that’s including American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis.
The author has broken his silence about the remake, taking to Twitter to state: “I have warned Lionsgate that I will not approve a new version of American Psycho unless it stars Scott Disick or Miles Fisher.”
Fisher (pictured) – who starred in this year’s Final Destination 5 – is a natural choice. The guy looks like the love child of Christian Bale and Tom Cruise. The actor recently starred in J. Edgar as an FBI agent.
Disick, meanwhile, is regularly seen on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, so, in other words, he’s reality TV fodder. “Acting experience”? Depends on what you mean by that…
What do you think? Is Ellis far from the mark?
