Payback’s an “itch”
The second trailer for Sucker has arrived, a spin on the original preview, except here a “grindhouse” effect has been added.
That’s some new promo art you’re seeing to the left, as well, cooked up for the forthcoming American Film Market in hopes of finding a distributor looking for “man turns into a mosquito” fare. And I really do hope this finds a home soon. Just looks too fun to have sitting on the shelf out of our hands.
Director Michael Manasseri plays Jim Crawley in the film, a dude having a really bad day. He’s fired from his job, his car gets impounded then he finds out his wife’s having an affair.
To make matters worse, Jim gets himself abducted by an evil scientist looking to conduct human testing for a vaccine against a deadly mosquito borne virus spreading across the world in a deadly outbreak.
It turns out that years of exposure to nuclear radiation and rabid mosquito DNA don’t mix very well and Jim transforms into a half man-half mosquito, hell bent on revenge.
