The home invasion thriller
Snoot Entertainment announced today that it has cast Sharni Vinson (Step Up 3D) to star in the home invasion thriller You’re Next.
Directed by Adam Wingard from a screenplay by Simon Barrett, the film will be produced by Snoot’s Keith Calder and Jessica Wu along with Barrett.
Wingard and Barrett most recently teamed on A Horrible Way to Die which premiered at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival, and will be released by Anchor Bay. Principal photography on You’re Next commences today in Missouri.
In the film, the Davison family comes under attack from a terrifying group of sadistic murderers during a family reunion getaway. Barricaded in their secluded vacation home, they fight off a barrage of axes, crossbows and machetes from both inside and outside the house. However, the masked killers didn’t count on Erin, the young girlfriend of the eldest Davison son whose mysterious past has made her very difficult to kill.
Vinson joins Nick Tucci, Wendy Glenn, AJ Bowen, Joe Swanberg, Margaret Laney, Amy Seimetz, Ti West, Calvin Reeder, Larry Fessenden, Kate Lyn Sheil and Rob Moran.
