Film adaptation gets a writer
Perhaps sensing that the end is near for its live-action Resident Evil franchise, both Capcom and Screen Gems are partnering up once again for Devil May Cry, based on the video game series of the same name.
Variety reveals the two entities have hired Kyle Ward to pen the script.
Ward previously made headlines here at Shock when he scripted Deal with the Devil for Lionsgate. That film concerned the first original serial killer.
Devil May Cry finds him dipping into supernatural waters for the tale of a man named Dante who sets out to kill demons after his mother is killed.
