Two Additions to the Frankenweenie Cast

Now shooting for director Tim Burton



Charlie Tahan and Atticus Shaffer will join Winona Ryder, Martin Short, Catherine O’Hara and Martin Landau for the cast of Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie, a stop-motion animated feature film opening March 9, 2012.

This tale is an expansion of Burton’s original short film from the ’80s.

Burton’s shooting in black and white and the film will be released in 3D.

In case you’re catching up, Frankenweeniefollows young Victor who loses his dog Sparky and harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.
