Danny Boyle Might/Might Not Direct Sharp Teeth

American shape-shifting gang members in L.A.

And that’s a big “if.”

Writer Simon Beaufoy is adapting the novel “Sharp Teeth” by Toby Barlow. “It’s a very extraordinary mix of gangland Los Angeles, really, really rough — a lot of shootings — and the difference with this particular piece of work is that these gangs can shape-shift at will into packs of dogs.”

How does Danny Boyle, director of 28 Days Later and 127 Days, come into play?

Well, Beaufoy tells the BBC that if the script is strong, Boyle will direct. Sounds like pipe dreams, honestly, but we’ll see!

Boyle is presently directing a stage adaptation of “Frankenstein” in London. After, he has the 2012 Olympics presentation taking up his time as well as the potential 28 Months Later.
