Stoker Loses Two Actresses, Gains One

To be directed by Park Chan-wook

Deadline is reporting that Mia Wasikowska is negotiating to star in Stoker, written by Wentworth Miller (Resident Evil: Afterlife) and to be directed by Park Chan-wook(Oldboy)

Carey Mulligan has been attached to the role, and Jodie Foster was going to star as well, but both are no longer involved, adds the site.

Stoker tells of an eccentric teenager whose enigmatic and estranged uncle returns to the family after the death of the girl’s father.

Miller also previously wrote Uncle Charlie, “a prequel that explores another chapter in the history of a family with a knack for burying secrets as well as bodies.”

Ridley and Tony Scott will produce the film with Michael Costigan.
