Male Lead Found for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus

Who’s starring opposite Noomi Rapace?

Looks like the rumors were true on this one. 20th Century Fox love Michael Fassbender, the new Magneto of the studio’s X-Men: First Class and now the star of Ridley Scott’s Prometheus.

The star of films such as Centurion and Inglourious Basterds will star opposite Noomi Rapace. No character details have been revealed yet.

Prometheus, described a sci-fi epic with “Alien DNA,” is on track for a June 8, 2012 release. If you missed the original announcement for the film, in which Scott talks about the genesis of the film and its departure from becoming a straight-up prequel to Alien, follow this link.
