Bousman Launches Blog for 11-11-11

The numbers are coming together

Darren Bousman’s latest film 11-11-11 is in pre-production. The man himself is in Barcelona, Spain, blogging about his experience on this new endeavor.

The first entry is a long-winded account of his touchdown in another country, but when he does get to 11-11-11 he says this: Finally I get to cross over into a subgenre of horror I love… Scary, and atmospheric horror… Still to this day movies like Rosemary’s Baby, The Tenant, Exorcist, The Omen terrify me. They weren’t violent or gory – they were just… Scary…

Entertaining read and very Bousman-esque (if you know him, you know what I mean). Bookmark this spot and be sure to follow the man’s journey.

11-11-11 is the first script Bousman has penned since Saw II. The synopsis goes like this:

After the tragic death of his wife and child, famed American author Joseph Crone travels from the United States to Barcelona, Spain to reunite with his enstranged brother Samuel and dying father, Richard. However, fate has a different plan for Joseph as his life becomes plagued with strange happenings, and the constant sightings of the number 11. Curiosity quickly turns to obsession, and Joseph soon realizes that this number holds a horrific meaning not only to himself but possibly to all of religion. Isolated in a foreign country with only the support of his companion, Sadie, Joseph soon realizes that 11/11/11 is more than just a date, it’s a WARNING!
