Williamson Elaborates on New Supernatural Series

Turns out, the comparisons were all wrong

The internet is really winning big on accuracy this last month.

Recently, it was revealed Kevin Williamson and his creative partner Julie Plec were at work on a new supernatural television show for WB. The outlet to report on the show described it as X-Files meets Buffy which, admittedly, is a strange comparison.

“That was the wrong characterization. I was like, ‘What is Buffy meets The X-Files?’ They’re completely at odds tonally,” Williamson tells EW. “It’s neither. It’s set on a college campus. There’s a little bit of some paranormal investigation involved, but it’s more about the characters. It’s more about what Julie and I like to do, which is create a world of people. A young girl goes to college, and it turns out there’s a lot more going on.”

Horrible murders is said to be added to the equation, too. Of course, keep in mind, the show might not even happen. The WB still needs to sign off on it.
