Hitting DVD and Blu-Ray
Although the Hollywood trades said Image Entertainment was going to take The Resident to theaters, it appears only a DVD and Blu-Ray release is being planned now.
The Hammer Films production, starring Hilary Swank and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, will street on March 29, 2011. Image has not revealed any special features or artwork yet.
Swank plays a doctor who moves into a loft in Brooklyn where mysterious occurrences lead her to suspect that she is not alone in her home. She discovers that her seemingly charming landlord has developed a dangerous obsession with her, resulting in a terrifying game of cat and mouse.
