The opening scene revealed!
Steven Quale is staring death in the eye. He’s just signed to sit in the director’s chair on Final Destination 5.
Eric Heissere penned the script for the film which opens August 26, 2011.
Quale comes from a visual effects background having worked on Avatar, Titanic and Terminator 2: Judgement Day. So, he’s a James Cameron vet.
FD 5 will be in 3D and the opening scene is said to take place on a suspension bridge. Heissere also teased that there will be a scene involving eye surgery.
Shooting begins this September.
