Golden, Lebbon Pit Jack London Against Monsters

Fox 2000 acquires screen rights to book series



Fox 2000 has acquired the film rights to the upcoming young adult supernatural adventure series “The Secret Journeys of Jack London.”

Written by authors Christopher Golden and Tim Lebbon – no strangers to the macabre – the series follows young Jack London as he dares the frozen north in the midst of the Gold Rush in an attempt to triumph over the wilderness, and the wildness within himself only to discover that there are many kinds of perils in the Yukon Territory, some of them monstrous legends come to life.

Golden and Lebbon will adapt the material for the screen as well.

“The Secret Journeys of Jack London” will be published in March of 2011. Golden presently has his graphic novel “Talent” in development at Universal, while Lebbon’s “Pay the Ghost” is in pre-production at Sidney Kimmel Entertainment.
