A promo for The Gates, ABC’s new supernatural summer series, is here. Frank Grillo plays a relocated detective who becomes the chief of police in a seemingly quiet community populated by sundry creatures of the night. Rhona Mitra (Underworld: Rise of the Lycans) stars and as you’ll see in the preview, this is ABC trying hard to capture the True Blood audience.
The network rolls out a 13 episode run beginning June 20. Smell that? I’m getting the whiff of an early cancellation.
