Next Resident Evil Film is Going IMAX

Opening in theaters September 10



IMAX and Sony Pictures Releasing today announced that Resident Evil: Afterlife, the fourth entry in the franchise, will be released to digital IMAX theatres simultaneously with the film’s wide release on September 10, 2010.

The film, which was photographed in 3D, will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience with proprietary IMAX DMR technology and presented in IMAX(R) 3D. The crystal-clear images coupled with IMAX’s customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio create “a unique immersive environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.”
