Happening in Los Angeles next week
In anticipation for the return of Creation Entertainmentâs venerated Weekend of Horrors presented by Dark Sky Films to Los Angeles, Screamfest LA and Creation invite you to join us for Screamfest LAâs Official Weekend of Horrors Kick-Off Party, to be held Wednesday, May 19 at 8pm at Kung Pao Kitty (6445 Hollywood Blvd. at Wilcox Avenue in the heart of Hollywood, CA).
âScreamfest is thrilled to host the kick-off party for Creationâs Weekend of Horrors,â says Rachel Belofsky, founder and festival director of the non-profit Screamfest LA Film Festival. âOur monthly mixers celebrate horror filmmakers, and pairing with Creation to co-host the kick-off party for the prolific Weekend of Horrors will only bring the horror community that much closer â and should be a blast.â
Like the previously well-attended mixers Screamfest LA has thrown at Kung Pao (which have allowed fear filmmakers and fans alike the chance to network over cocktails and Asian cuisine), the Screamfest LA Official Weekend of Horrors Kick-Off Party will be horror-industry heavy, with fright flicks screening on the flat-screens, the Kitty staff serving up some special horrific concoctions specific to the event, photo opportunities and no cover charge.
Guests attending the party who register their e-mail address at the door for Screamfest LAâs running in the Pepsi Refresh Project will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win free General Admission Weekend Passes ($138.00 value) to Creationâs Weekend of Horrors, running May 21-23 at the Marriot LAX (5855 West Century Blvd., LA, CA).
Guests at Weekend of Horrors are set to include Dario Argento, Robert Englund, Tony Todd and many more. In addition to the amazing celebrity guests, Weekend of Horrors offers special events such as: Photo Ops, Autographs, 100 Years of Monster Moviesâ Art Ghoullery, Grindhouseâs Frightful Film Room, Zombie Walk, Shock-N-Roll Spooktacular & Coffin Caseâs Xtreme Fashion Show, Creepy Costume Contest, Tattoo Savage Magazineâs Tattoo Contest, Previews, Vendors, Auctions and more.
