Tom Six on His Human Centipede Sequel

Shooting begins in this June

Having surprised and disgusted audiences on the film festival circuit with The Human Centipede (First Sequence), writer-director Tom Six is going back to his warped concept for more.

During a chat to promote the film’s limited theatrical release this week through IFC Films, Six says The Human Centipede (Full Sequence) (note “full sequence” – yikes) is, “really far along. We start shooting in June in the UK.”

Six will once again write and direct. He’s confident that what he has come up with as a follow-up will be refreshing to fans of the first film. “I want to keep it a bit of a surprise as to what happens. I always see a lot of Hollywood horror film sequels and they’re terrible. I want to make sure the sequel is original and something cool. That’s a challenge. I have some stuff in the script that will, I hope, amaze the audience. I can tell you it’s going to be a huge centipede – with twelve people. But what happens in it is something we don’t expect.”

In the original, Dieter Laser stars as a surgeon who kidnaps three people and fuses them together. When asked if Laser will reprise his role in some capacity, Six laughs and says that’s one aspect of the sequel he’d like to keep under wraps for now.

Our full interview with Six is coming. Keep your eyes peeled to Shock!
