Producer Talks Dark Castle Future, I Saw What You Did

The William Castle remake

On the set of their latest production, The Apparition, Dark Castle’s Alex Heineman confirmed that we haven’t heard the last of their William Castle remake I Saw What You Did.

“That’s something we’re still developing,” he says. “[Todd Farmer and Patrick Lussier] wrote a script and we’re trying to figure out what the next step it going to be. That will be for the next run.”

Dark Castle’s beginnings were rooted in remakes of Castle classics like The House on Haunted Hill and Thirteen Ghosts. The company has been taking a turn, however, focusing outside of the remake box. “What Dark Castle is ultimately about is no specific genre,” Heineman says. “It’s more about telling good stories, or great concepts, it could be a thriller, comedy, or science fiction. But it has to be a good story for a price.”
