Recommend titles to other readers
This year, I’m a bit aghast at how many lists I’ve seen in papers and various online outlets showcasing “the worst films” in horror. Isn’t this the time of year we should be celebrating the genre the most? Yes, I’ve been hit with plenty of “top 10 must-see” films, too, but the “worst” columns rubbed me the wrong way.
Halloween is upon us, fiends. And whether you’ll be getting ready for a party, hosting a pumpkin carving contest or just hanging at home to hand out candy, no doubt you’ll be spinning some horror flicks in your DVD player (or, hell, popping in a VHS for a rare oldie). So we want to know, what films put you in the mood for the holiday? What films to you possibly have in store for an all-night movie marathon?
Here at casa de Rotten I’m kicking the day off with Trick âr Treat, followed by Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein and, later tonight, Night of the Creeps, Poltergeist and Creepshow on Blu-Ray. That’s just getting things started…
