Up-and-coming British Filmmaker Corin Hardy to direct
Sam Raimi has signed on to produce the supernatural horror flick Refuge based on a pitch from up-and-coming British director Corin Hardy. The project has been set up at Mandate, where Raimi’s Ghost House Pictures has a deal.
Refuge centers on a remote town terrorized by a Yeti, the mythological creature native to the mountains of the Himalayas. Hardy will direct from a script by fellow British writer Tom De Ville. Jason Blum, Nathan Kahane and Steven Schneider are also attached to produce.
Apparently, Blum’s Blumhouse Prods will be financing and producing a short film version of Refuge with Corin Hardy and Tom De Ville. The teaser will serve as a jumping point for the filmmakers to continue developing their feature length script. More when we hear it!
