Dreamworks In Talks For Live-Action Xombie Feature

Based on James Farr’s comic book & animated series

DreamWorks is currently in negotiations to buy the movie rights for Xombie the sci-fi/horror adventure produced by Epic Level Entertainment that began as an online flash-animated series and expanded into a comic book as well as an “illustrated-film” currently in pre-production by Halo-8 Entertainment. Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (Star Trek, Transformers) are in talks to produce the live action version according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Xombie was created by James Farr and centers on a zombie cop named Dirge who attempts to saves humanity’s remnants, particularly a young girl named Zoe, from evil zombies.

DreamWorks is in negotiations to acquire the source material. The logline for the movie version is being kept under wraps.
