International releases, but where’s the U.S.?
Voltage Pictures has struck distribution deals, globally, for George Romero’s Survival of the Dead.
In the UK, Optimum Releasing will carry the sixth entry in the director’s undead series. According to Screen Daily, it has also sold to Paradiso Entertainment (Benelux), Splendid Film (Germany), Presidio (Japan), Gulf Film Group (Middle East), Imagem Filmes (Brazil), M Pictures Entertainment (Thailand), E1 Entertainment (Canada).
U.S. sales are still out at this time and are being handled by Cinetic. Survival of the Dead is playing to Toronto International Film Festival audiences this weekend. It reportedly received a standing ovation at the recent Venice film fest.
