Premiering next month in Spain
It didn’t quite make it to the Toronto International Film Festival like writer-director Vincenzo Natali had hoped it would (apparently there’s a story behind it having to do with North American distribution), but Splice, the upcoming creature feature shepherded by Guillermo Del Toro, is set to play to Sitges Film Festival audiences.
It’s the 42nd year for the event which runs October 1-12.
Splice, starring Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley, was picked up by Senator Distribution, however, the company voiced financial woes over the last year. So who knows what the film’s fate is right now.
