Spike Announces Scream 2009 Nominees


Drag Me to Hell, Friday the 13 & Bloody Valentine

Voting has officially begun for Spike TV’s Scream 2009, the genre awards show that spotlights comics, television and film. The nominees are out and in the “Best Horror” category Drag Me to Hell, Friday the 13th, Splinter, Dead Snow, Let the Right One In and My Bloody Valentine 3D are vying for the top honor.

For the “Ultimate Scream,” Drag Me to Hell and Let the Right One In will be duking it out with Twilight, Star Trek, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Up. Jennifer Carpenter, Jaime King, Anna Paquin, Lina Leandersson, Alison Lohman and Monica Potter are up for “Best Actress in a Horror Film or TV Show.” Meanwhile, Bruce Campbell, Michael C. Hall, KÃ¥re Hedebrant, Justin Long, Ryan Kwanten and Stephen Moyer are contending for “Best Actor in a Horror Film or TV Show.”

In print, “Hack/Slash” is once again nominated for “Best Comic Book” and there are some great additions to the “Most Memorable Mutilation” category. To see who else was nominated and to begin voting, click here!
