2010 Paves the Way for Halloween 3D

New director with a “different take”

Halloween II, and Dimension Films, were bested by The Final Destination at the box office this weekend, so for 2010, the Weinstein brothers, Harvey and Bob, are going to push Michael Myers into the realm of 3-D.

According to Bob Weinstein, Halloween 3D is currently in development. Ol’ Bob says writer-director Rob Zombie will not return to continue the franchise. Instead, there’s a new director circling the next chapter and he has a “different take.”

Silver Shamrock, anyone? (I joke…)

Dimension Films is already dabbling in 3-D with Alexandre Aja’s Piranha remake which swims into theaters April 16, 2010.
