Overture Films is thinking about the future. The company has penciled in a September 25, 2009 release date for The Crazies, Breck Eisner’s remake of the George Romero film. Ray Wright pens this updated story of the military attempting to contain a killer man-made virus that causes death and permanent insanity in those infected.
Meanwhile, you can expect Matt Reeves’ remake of Let the Right One In on January 15, 2010. Hammer Films is co-producing the American redo with Overture.
And Anchor Bay is a confirming a December 12th limited release for the Kim Basinger thriller While She Was Out. A DVD will follow in 2009.
