IFC nabs nine-picture package
London-based One-Eyed Films sold the Coffin Joe Horror Collection, a nine-picture package, to IFC. The collection features the works of José Mojica Marins whose alter ego, Coffin Joe, has starred in films such as At Midnight I’ll Take Your Soul, Black Exorcism of Coffin Joe, and This Night I Will Possess your Corpse. Next up is Embodiment of Evil.

According to Variety, One-Eyed, which shelters a production outfit in Sao Paulo to make genre films, is currently developing the first English-language film featuring the character of Coffin Joe, which is tentatively titled The Bitter Garden! More details as they come.
