Mummy dusted by Dark Knight



According to Box Office Mojo, Midnight Meat Train‘s estimated box office gross since opening Friday is $32 thousand. Lionsgate released the Ryuhei Kitamura-directed Clive Barker adaptation in 100 bargain theaters across the country.

Turning to another genre picture on a wider scale, Universal’s The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor couldn’t muster enough magic to knock The Dark Knight from its number one slot. The third mummy adventure starring Brendan Fraser, Maria Bello, Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh opened at number two with $42.4 million. Meanwhile, The X-Files: I Want to Believe dropped from number four to number nine grossing a total of $17 million since bowing on July 25th.
